Memŏro - Rosé Italian Wine
"Memŏro Italia", Latin for Remember Italy, was born as a cuvée wine from our family's Italian pride and created as a tribute to our country's exceptional wine-making legacy and love of life.
Light, fresh and bright, displaying aromas of raspberry, red currant and delicate wild mint notes. Good palate weight, with ripe flavours of strawberry, raspberry and red cherry. Well balanced and clean finish. A versatile wine enjoyable at 12°C, great as an aperitif or with summer light meals, poultry or flavourful fish.
Wine flows through the historical veins of every corner of Italy. Our family has been part of the Italian wine history for IV generations, since 1882. With our roots deep into the territory of Tuscany, it is the very first time when we take up the challenge to create a wine that would not only taste Italian, but feel Italian. This is why I consider that Memŏro is uncharted territory for us, an idea reflected by the rose compass on the label: an Italian cuvee wine born from 4 corners of Italy. An unique project that is not only a tribute to the great Italian culture of which we are part, but born from our Family's Italian pride. Celebrating 150 Years of Italy.

Montepulciano, Nero d'Avola, Merlot, Negroamaro
We employed the method known as ‘saignée’, bleeding juice from the red wine fermentation. While Negroamaro is produced by de-stemming the fruit, with skin contact and pressing the juice off the skin. After the three other grapes have been destemmed they have contact with the skins at controlled temperature, we saignée approximately 20% of the tank volumes. This provides red juice that has just a hint of ripe red wine essence while still remaining light and refreshing.
Memoro was born in 2011 as a challenge that Piccini Family took to create a wine as an Italian icon. The ambition was to create a wine that would not only taste Italian, but would feel Italian: a wine born from the land of Italy, bringing together different grapes varieties, wine making techniques and four different origins symbolized by the compass rose on the label.
Montepulciano originating from Abruzzo, Nero d’Avola from Sicily and Merlot from Veneto. As Primitivo grapes used for Memoro Rosso are being processed with the appassimento method, we used a different grape varietal originating from Puglia, Negroamaro.
This wine is ideal for drinking now but can be kept for up to 1 year
