Traditionally handcrafted at St George's Distillery

Hand crafted in England's only traditional Whisky distillery
St. George's Distillery sits on the bank of the River Thet in the country of Norfolk. Below the ground is a chalk aquifer giving a supply of cold, crystal clear pure water.
The country of Norfolk produces some of the world's finest malting barley. Our climate is warmer and drier than our Scottish neighbors, helping our whisky to mature. This is the perfect location to craft fine whiskies.
Tasting Notes from the Distiller
Nose: Light and smooth. Fresh and fragrant, sweet, soft & slightly spicy. Fresh cut grassy notes, along with gentle vanilla. Fruity with hints of lime, banana and pear. A gentle waft of marzipan. Nose softens with water and is quite nutty (hazelnuts, cashews, almonds.
Palate: Quite full bodied. Tingling and textured on the palate. Fresh wood, vanilla, again fruity and nutty, malty, cereal character comes through. Slightly citrus.
Yours to enjoy, Cheers
For the Connoisseur and Collector
We produce the 'Chapters' which are limited runs of special whiskies produced from different malts and matured in unique oak casks some of which have previously matured other drinks such as Bourbon, Sherry, Port, Rum, Madeira, Muscatel & Sauterne.
We also operate the only Solera in England which matures the unique St. George's Pedro Ximenez, a rich sherry that we have fortified with English Whisky.
The Nestrop family has grown & milled grain for over 500 years. Our history can be traced back to Yorkshire in 1531. Our ancestor Rowland Nelstrop was on the ship Phoenix taking the 1st colonists to Jamestown, America in April 1608.
Today, the family are proud to hand craft a unique English Whisky for your pleasure.
