2 Lamb Shanks in a Red Wine and Herb Sauce

Tender, succulent New Zealand Lamb hind leg shanks, slowly cooked in a delicious French Red wine and herb sauce guaranteeing a mouth watering flavour and texture.

For best results microwave from frozen. Place the shanks onto a suitable microwavable dish. Pierce the bag twice near the top of the bag and cook as per instructions. After standing cut across the top of the bag, and carefully empty the contents onto a plate. Stir the sauce well before serving.


Temperature:Fan 160°C, Gas 4, 180°C

Time:1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes

Instructions:For best results, oven cook.
For best results always cook from frozen.
Cut along the top of the packet and empty contents into an oven proof dish with
a lid.
Cook in the centre of a pre-heated oven for 1hr to 1hr 15 minutes.
Keep the dish covered throughout cooking.
If cooking two shanks, increase the cooking time to 90 minutes

Boil In The Bag:

Time:45-50 minutes

Instructions:For best results cook from frozen.
Do not pierce the bag.
Place in a pan of boiling water and bring back to the boil.
Simmer for 40-45 minutes.
Carefully remove from the boiling water.
Cut across the top of the bag, and carefully empty the contents onto a plate.
Stir the sauce well before serving.
