Following harvest, the grapes are destemmed and crushed with the resulting juice fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel vats prior to bottling.
Marselan is a little known grape variety that was created near the French town of Marseillan in 1961 by crossing Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache vines. The resulting grapes combine the finesse and quality and leafy black fruit character of Cabernet Sauvignon with the colour and juicy flavour of Grenache.
The Pays d'Oc stretches along 200km of coastline and into the hills inland. A mix of soils can be found in the area, from limestone to clay and sand which, together with the Mediterranean climate, help to produce a variety of wine styles, in particular fruity, robust reds.
This wine is ideal for drinking now but can be kept for up to 1 year
