Thickened formula for the dietary management of frequent reflux and regurgitation, suitable from birth.
Reflux and regurgitation
Babies often regurgitate small amounts of milk after feeding, sometimes with wind; this is perfectly normal and commonly referred to as spitting up. However, if you are concerned that your baby has frequent reflux or regurgitation you should speak to your healthcare professional or pharmacist.
Aptamil Anti-Reflux is specially formulated with carob bean gum and is shown to be thicker on preparation. It is less affected by the enzymes in saliva meaning that it remains thicker in the stomach, helping the feed to stay down.
Aptamil Anti-Reflux is a nutritionally complete formula. You can use it to feed your baby as a sole source of nutrition from birth and as part of a weaning diet from 6 months to 1 year.
You should speak to you healthcare professional or pharmacist if your are concerned that your baby has frequent reflux or regurgitation.

There is a handy leveller built into the pack. Store your scoop in the lid so that it is kept safe and secure.
Click the lid securely shut to keep your powder fresh.
Preparing your baby's feed
Because powdered milks are not sterile, failure to follow instructions may make your baby ill.
1. Wash hands and sterilise all utensils according to manufacturers' instructions.
2. Boil 1 litre of fresh water. Leave kettle to cool for no longer than 45 mins. Measure the required amount of water into a sterilised bottle. Be careful of scalding. Do not use artificially softened or repeatedly boiled water.
3. Using the scoop provided, level of the powder with the built-in leveller. Do not press or heap the powder.
4. Add the required amount of powder to the water. Adding too many or too few scoops can be harmful.
5. Cap the bottle and roll bottle upright between the palms of hands - roll it strongly for 5 seconds. The time between adding the scoops and rolling the bottle should be as short as possible.
6. Shake bottle for 20 seconds and then leave to stand for 7 minutes to allow it to thicken. Check temperature of feed. Feed immediately.
Important Feeding Instructions
