Located in the South East of Italy, Puglia forms the characteristic heel of the Italian "boot, along the Adriatic coast and is home to the Negroamaro grape. This southern portion of the region is a flat and fertile peninsula which has long been a region of significant viticultural importance. Its Mediterranean climate and prominence of calcareous soils have created an ideal environment for the growing of quality grapes.
