Harvest 2009 was a perfect year for our malbec, with a hot constant summer that allowed an exceptional phenolic maturity & fruit concentration along with mature tannins. After classical macerations of 20 days, slow pumping-over & malolactic fermentation the wine has been grown in French & American barrels during 12 months.
In the late 1950s, Moët & Chandon, a subsidiary of LVMH, sent Renaud Poirier, its Oenology Director, to Latin America to research the region’s potential for world-class wine production.
Mendoza is a desert-dry region with only 7 inches of annual average rainfall, compared to 24 inches in Napa Valley and 34 inches in Bourdeaux.
