Tropical fruit, fresh green bell peppers and floral lime zest rise from the glass initially. This is well backed up by a vibrant, cutting fresh palate with deceptive power and concentration. Evidence of the lees contact adds a textural dimension to the focused palate and bouncing tropical fruit. This wine will develop in bottle over time and its complexity will become more marked between sweet fruit spectrum and almost savory herbal notes.

The fruit was harvested at night, de-stemmed and crushed then settled for 48 hours. The clear juice was then extracted. A number of yeasts were used to help create a spectrum of aroma’s and texture with average fermentation lasting around 3 weeks. The tanks were then topped up and stirred for 10-12 weeks. After the wine had gained some lees texture it was stabilized for bottling.
Invivo is a boutique premium New Zealand winery that started as an idea in London between two New Zealand old school friends Tim Lightbourne & Rob Cameron. Rob Cameron is a qualified viticulturist and accomplished winemaker and with Tim Lightbourne’s experience in global brand management they have formed the partnership that is Invivo. After extensive planning Rob and Tim began working with the leading grape growers in Marlborough and Central Otago to launch their premium wines.Invivo wines are hand crafted with dedication and passion so they can be enjoyed to the fullest.
The grapes used in this wine are from the Westhaven Estate in Dashwood. The microclimate here is unique in that it rarely receives frosts but gets very cool nights, hence harvesting takes place slightly late. This extra length in the season locks in fruit and pungent flavours. In addition to the Westhaven estates is a parcel of Sauvignon from the Awatere valley Southern river flats. These young vines produce punchy intense flavours full of zesty gooseberry.
This wine is ideal for drinking now but can be kept for up to 2 years
