Cape White Wine, W.O. Western Cape, Wine of South Africa
A South African white blend packed with guava and tropical fruits with hint of vanilla

The wine has a rich deep crimson colour. On the nose you will find a combination of prunes, spices, dark chocolate and raspberries. The palate has a smooth rich taste of cherries, raspberries and black current well integrated with the wood chariness.

The grapes were harvested at 24-25 balling sugar. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks for 6-8 days with selected yeast train. Traditional pump overs and punch downs every 4 hours. Wines were racked after fermentation and inoculated with Malo-Lactic bacteria. Slight fining with bentonite before cold stabilization. All actions prior to filling was done with upmost care to avoid any form of oxidation.
Grapes sourced from the Western Cape region were vineyard practices include vines on a 3-wire trellis system. Vines are pruned in winter and maintained throughout the growing season to keep them manageable and productive. Irrigation gets monitored regularly to avoid stressing of the vines.
The vines were planted between 2000 and 2003. Choice of cultivar clone and rootstock were well selected for the rich soils that the region offers. Vines are pruned to deliver well balanced crop and vineyard practices gets managed accordingly. The need for irrigation gets monitored on a weekly basis to ensure the vines never stress during ripening phase.
