Valdepeñas Red Spanish Wine
This Reserva is a Spanish classic matured in oak barrels for a minimum of 12 months and then in bottle to achieve a smooth, rich and satisfying style.
The Tempranillo grape thrives in the stony vineyards of Valdepeñas and its ripe, mellow wines are an outstanding match for roast lamb, chicken and other grilled meats, hearty casseroles and mature cheeses.

Vinification Details
The grapes were hand picked at the end of August through to the beginning of September. The ideal ripeness levels are determined by the technical department at the winery. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature not exceeding 28 degrees centigrade. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation and is then oak aged in American, French and Hungarian barrels with differing toast levels.
History
History - Vineyards located in the historic Valdepenas region are harvested by hand to supply the ripe grapes needed to produce this delicious red wine.
Regional Information
Regional Information - The Tempranillo grapes were hand-picked late August / early September, from 30 year old vines in the Valdepenas vineyards. The soil is clayey lime and the climate continental - cold winters and hot, dry summers.
