Baked vanilla flavour cheesecake on a digestive biscuit base topped with American cookie chunks.
This recipe was first created in Tony's, one of the classic Broadway delis.
Tony opened the first restaurant on February 28 1921 at 1586 Broadway near 48th Street. Tony's quickly became known for its enormous combo sandwiches, pancakes and most especially the cheesecake. Being right in the heart of the theatre district also made Tony's hangout for Broadway stars.
