As this is a non-vintage wine growing conditions were quite varied. The fruit for this wine was selected and picked from vineyards in South Eastern Australia. Due to the persistence of drought, crop levels were down and the resultant fruit flavours concentrated. Long sunshine hours combined with viticultural excellence ensured the fruit ripened fully delivering fruit-forward wines.
Buronga Hill in the Sunraysia district of southern NSW is one of the largest wineries in Australia, offering a 135,000 tonne capacity. Using the latest technology, this batch processing plant is renowned for its commitment to efficient and ‘enviro-friendly’ winemaking.
The South Australian wine industry is responsible for more than half the production of all Australian wine. The state of South Australia has a vast diversity in geography and climate which allows the state to be able to successfully produce a wide range of grape varieties-from the cool climate Riesling variety in the Clare Valley to the big, full bodied Shiraz wines of the Barossa Valley.
