Why organic?

Organic farming uses traditional methods like crop rotation and natural pest control rather than pesticides and chemical fertilisers which can end up in the final produce. Artificial preservatives and additives are also a no no. We end up with a more natural and delicious juice why compromise?

James White Drinks started over 20 years ago as an apple juice pressing company and it still makes fantastic single variety apple juices Bramley, Cox and Russet. We are based at Whites Fruit Farm just north of Ipswich in Suffolk. During the 1990s we started pressing a range of organic apple and pear juices and blends with among others raspberries, ginger and carrots. From carrots it was but a short step to bottling beetroot juice, which we were delighted to discover tastes delicious.

In 2007, we were approached by a group of scientists who were carrying out medical and sports science research (dietary nitrate / Nitric Oxide (NO)) with beetroot juice.

We are very privileged now to be supplying research projects at many universities all over the world. It has been a very exciting experience and their published research findings have attracted much media interest.

We are now having organic beetroot grown for us especially for pressing the first time this has ever been done in the UK. We are based in the heart of East Anglia, which is great beet growing country.
