The Black Grouse is a unique blend of Scotland's favourite whisky and exquisite peaty malts, resulting in an award winning blend with a difference. Since its launch in 2008, this additions to The Famous Grouse family has gone from strength to strength and enjoyed exceptional growth.

History and Heritage

Origin/Location

The Black Grouse represents the very best of Scotland and: Contains some of the world's finest malts (including Highland Park and The Macallan). Is married and bottled in Glasgow. Has its spiritual home in Crieff at Glenturret Scotland's oldest and most visited distillery. Is owned by an independent company headquartered in Perth.

History

Matthew Gloag established his much respected family grocer business in 1800. Decades later, third generation Matthew Gloag introduced The Famous Grouse, a whisky that would become known for doing things differently. So, it's no surprise that in 2008, year of blender creating a new whisky representing the darker side of The Famous Grouse. The Black Grouse is a full bodied taste sensation inspired by Scotland's extroverted feathered character of the same name, and offers a unique and unrivaled taste for longstanding whisky drinkers and newcomers.
