Product properties
A rich intense red with dark juicy blackberries and characteristic spicy notes. This Syrah has been aged in new French oak for one year.
The Miquel family vineyards high in the hills of the Languedoc, in Southern France have been farmed by eight successive generations of the family since 1791. Laurent's most important heritage is the knowledge his forefathers gained over the years about their land and the unique microclimate that exists here. He can therefore work in harmony with nature and produce exciting Syrah wines that really reflect the character of this stunning area.

Vinification Details
Selected parcels from the Laurent Miquel vineyards are harvested at night to ensure optimum fruit quality. The wine is then fermented by traditional methods, 50% of which is then aged in new French oak barrels for 12 months.
History
Laurent Miquel is the largest private producer in the Saint Chinian appellation and is the Languedoc specialist for Syrah and Viognier. His philosophy is simple: only superior grapes can go on to create the ultimate wines.
Regional Information
The vines are planted North-South orientation which means that the grapes are exposed to the gentle warmth of the morning and evening rays but protected from the burning effects of the midday sun.
