The grapes come from Minho, the heart of Vinho Verde Region. Vinification takes place in stainless steel to retain the freshness and fruit. Gentle pressing and fermentation at cool temperatures are used to obtain the delicate aromas.
Vinho Verde literally means 'green wine' referring to its youthful freshness rather than its colour. The winemaker for this wine has 20 years of experience.
The province of Minho lies in the northeast of Portugal & has a cool climate with a lot of rainfall. The low temperatures & limited sunshine give the wines from this region their natural high acidity.
