Did you know this is the only sugar grown in Britain?
The sugar beet we use travels fewer miles than any other from the fields around Bury St Edmunds in East Anglia, and is then made into our range of homegrown sugars for families all over the country.
Silver Spoon Icing Sugar is perfect for making icing and buttercreams for cakes and cupcakes as it combines easily and dissolves instantly.
By Appointment to HM The Queen Manufacturers of Sugar, British Sugar plc Peterborough
Pack Size: 1kg

- Sugar is a natural preservative and if stored in a cool dry place will keep indefinitely. Icing sugar can absorb flavours and odours, so store the closed pack away from strong smelling or flavoured foods.
Creates a smooth finish for sponge cakes, cupcakes, biscuits and finger buns.
Sift 125g Silver Spoon Icing Sugar into a bowl. Gradually add 15ml (1tbsp) warm water until the icing becomes thick enough to coat the back of a spoon. If necessary, add more water (a drop at a time) or icing sugar to adjust the consistency. This amount of glacé icing is sufficient to cover the surface of an 18cm (7in) cake or decorate 12 cupcakes. If you wish to use the glacé icing for piping add a little extra icing sugar to create a thicker consistency.
A light and creamy way to decorate your cakes and cupcakes.
Place 75g butter in a bowl and beat until soft. Gradually sift and beat in 175g icing sugar, then add a few drops of vanilla essence and enough milk or water to give a fluffy consistency. This amount of buttercream is sufficient to cover and fill a 15cm (6in) cake or cover the surface of an 18cm (7in) cake.
