Product information

Description

This is a wine of power and finesse with flavours of cherry, plum, dark berries and chocolate and a delicious, rich finish.

This Shiraz is a single vineyard Shiraz from the Aberfeldy vineyard, planted in 1904. It is a low cropping vineyard which produces fruit with intense, robust flavours.

Tim Adams Wines was founded in 1985 and has grown from a crush of just 85 tonnes then to around 900 tonnes today winning a string of international awards. It uses only Clare Valley fruit sourced via a network of loyal growers and it's own vineyards. Lying north of Adelaide, South Australia's Clare Valley has a combination of soils, altitude and climate which make it unique among Australian regions for production of a wide range of wines. All components of this blend were fermented to dryness on skins and subsequently left on skins for a further three weeks before being pressed. It then spent 24 months in American oak before blending, fining, filtering and bottling. "2004 Aberfeldy Shiraz is another legend from Tim Adams buy it and hold it tight for a decade." Matthew Jukes (The Wine List 2007).
