The chardonnay grapes were picked at optimum ripeness and then barrel fermented, giving the wine complexity and oak flavours. The wine was then aged for 9 months in oak to further mature the wine.
The idyllic village of Buxy is home to the 160 members which make up the Caves de Vignerons de Buxy. This wine is crafted by award-winning winemaker Alain Pierre and a brilliant young wine-making team backed by an innovative and highly experienced management.
Situated in the heart of wine-growing Burgundy, the Cote Chalonnaise is ideally placed to convey every nuance of the region. Our wines are produced from selected vineyards with a long history and a reputation for their ability to reveal the specific character of the appellation.
