In the UK, over 80 per cent of glass collected in recycling is used to make new glass bottles and jars.

Time to talk rubbish!

Recycling is one of the easiest ways to help the planet. Help your family get the recycling bug with these fun ideas.

Before you start, see how many bags of rubbish your family throws away each week. Then try these ideas and see if you can cut down your rubbish, and put more in the recycling bins, over the next seven days.

To get you started, why not try making a recycling poster to remind everyone what goes in which recycling box?
