Top tip
Collecting empty inkjet cartridges is an effective way to get your school or club more Tesco for Schools & Clubs vouchers – and it's really easy too.
Did you know?
Alzheimer's Society and Alzheimer Scotland are Tesco Charity of the Year. We aim to raise £5 million to help build a better future for people with dementia.
*Alzheimer's Society (registered charity no. 296645) will transfer 10 per cent of all donations received to Alzheimer Scotland (registered charity no. SC022315).
Collect green Clubcard points by recycling your inkjet cartridges with Tesco.
In the UK, we throw away 30 million ink cartridges a year. These cartridges alone take 1,425,000 litres of oil to produce. But you can recycle them – and you’ll collect green Clubcard points for doing so.
We’ll give you 100 green Clubcard points for each one you recycle or you can choose to donate up to £1 to Alzheimer's Society and Alzheimer Scotland* – our Charity of the Year. Alternatively, you can receive 50 points and donate 50p to Alzheimer's Society and Alzheimer Scotland*.
To encourage the recycling of empty ink cartridges, we now include a freepost envelope with every Tesco cartridge – making it really easy to return you ink cartridges. You can also pick up a freepost envelope in store or go to The Recycling Factory to request an envelope.
Then just send us the envelope with your ink cartridge(s) and we’ll do the rest.
Please note that, although all inkjet cartridges will be recycled, points and donations can only be given for cartridges that work in certain printers.

Once again, Tesco has joined forces with zonzoo and The Recycling Factory to offer schools and clubs the opportunity to collect more Tesco for Schools & Clubs vouchers by just recycling their old mobile phones and used inkjet cartridges.
