Answers to commonly asked questions about green Clubcard points
Green Clubcard points are the same as Clubcard points but are given to reward environmentally friendly behaviour. They have the same value as Clubcard points and can be redeemed in store, online or on Clubcard rewards.
The principle is that customers are rewarded for how many bags they have saved. So you will be rewarded with one green Clubcard point for every bag you reuse.
Yes, as you have not used a carrier bag.
We have decided to differentiate between Clubcard points collected for shopping with Tesco and Clubcard points collected for behaving in a more environmentally friendly way.
You can see how many green Clubcard points you have collected in your Clubcard statement.
As well as collecting them every time you reuse a bag, instead of using a new carrier, you can also collect green Clubcard points for mobile phone recycling, inkjet recycling and for recycling cans at our automated recycling centres. Find out whether your ink cartridges qualify.
Green Clubcard points are shown separately on both your till receipt and in your Clubcard statement.

Additionally all drivers are happy to take any plastic carrier bags that you would like to recycle – even if they didn’t come from Tesco.
