What values do Gift cards come in? All the cards are variable value on which you can give any amount from £1 to £100.
Does all the card value have to be used in 1 transaction? No, you can use some or all of the value on the card. If any money is left, it will be held for you on the card for spending later. Or use the money on the card to put toward a higher price item by paying the difference.
Where can I pick up a Gift card? They are available in all our UK stores. Just pick the card you want and pay for it at the checkout. The value will then be applied to the card.
Can I order Gift cards online? Because we need to activate the card at the checkout, we can currently only sell these cards from our stores
Do I get Clubcard points when I buy a Gift card? Points awarded as normal when the card is used to buy items (when used with a Clubcard), but are not awarded on the purchase of a Gift card.
What can Gift cards be used to buy? Gift cards can be used as payment for anything in our UK or Isle of Man shops. They can also be used online to pay for flowers, CDs, DVDs, and books. And for and for any products on Tesco Direct.
Why can't I use the card to buy wine or groceries at Tesco.com? Currently, system limitations make this impossible, but we are working to fix this. We will announce on this web site when this is possible.
Why do I have to enter a credit or debit card number when I use a Gift card to shop online? Our systems require proof of identity for a number of legal and process reasons when shopping online and this also allows for any balance to be paid if the funds on the Gift card are insufficient.
What if the person I give the card to does not have a credit or debit card or is under 18? They can still use the card in store.
How long is a Gift card valid for? 5 years from the last use of the card
Can I get my money back if my card is lost or stolen? Treat the card like you would any form of cash because you will lose the money stored on it if it's lost or stolen.
