- What value do gift cards come in?
- You can add any amount from £1 to £100 per card.
- Do you have to spend it all at once?
- No, you can spend some or all of the money on the card. Any balance left on the card gets saved until your next shop and lasts five years.
- How can I buy a gift card?
- Just choose your favourite card design in store at the checkout, and simply load with money at the till.
How do I order a large number?- We have a special sales service for orders of 20 or more gift cards. Perfect for rewards & incentives for work colleagues. You can choose values from £5, £10, £15, £20, £25, £50, £75, or £100 to load on the gift card shown here. Please phone our orderline on 08456 000 968. Lines are open 9am - 8pm Monday to Friday and 9am - 5pm Saturday.
- Do I get Clubcard points when I buy a gift card?
- They are not awarded on the purchase of a gift card. Points are awarded as normal when you use your gift card to buy goods (as long as you remember to use your Clubcard).
- What can I buy with it?
- Your gift card is redeemable against products at any UK store, Tesco direct or at Tesco.com to buy digital downloads, CDs, DVDs, games*, books and Wine by the case; you can use online to choose from thousands of presents. Everything from photo frames to computer games. Simply visit www.tesco.com/direct.
- Unfortunately, system limitations make it impossible to buy groceries yet, but we are working on it.
- * We are very sorry, but at this point in time, gift cards cannot currently be used to buy CDs, DVDs and games online. Meanwhile you can still use your gift card to buy digital downloads, books and wine by the case online, on Tesco direct and in store.
- Can I buy petrol with my gift card?
- Yes you can use your gift card at any Tesco forecourt to buy petrol or any other item on sale in the shop or kiosk.
- Why do I have to be over 18 and have a credit or debit card number when I use a gift card to shop online?
- Our system requires proof of identity for a number of legal and process reasons when shopping online. This also makes it easier for you to pay the balance on goods if you do not have enough money on your gift card.
- What if the person I give the card to is under 18 or does not have a credit or debit card?
- They can still use the card in store.
- Can I get my money back if my gift card is lost or stolen?
- Treat the card like you would any form of cash because you lose the money stored on it if it is lost or stolen.
- Can I use any of the gift card designs on Tesco Digital to download entertainment?
- Yes, all of them.
- Can I only use my Tesco Digital gift card against digital downloads?
- No, you can use it to buy all the products described under terms and conditions.
- Can I use my gift card at a self-scan checkout?
- Yes, you can select Tesco gift card as a payment option. However, if you want to buy a gift card please ask a cashier to load it for you.
