Where can I buy Tesco Gift Cards?

Tesco Gift cards can be purchased in store. Please see our Store locator for details of your nearest store. At present gift cards cannot be purchased online.

What value do Tesco Gift Cards come in?

You can add any amount from £1 to £100 per card.

Do you have to spend it all at once?

No, you can spend some or all of the money on the card. Any balance left on the card gets saved until your next shop and lasts five years.

How can I buy a Tesco Gift Card?

Just choose your favourite design from a range of Tesco Gift Cards in store, then load your card with money at the till. You can find your nearest store with our Store locator.

How do I order a big amount?

We have a special sales service for orders of 20 or more Tesco Gift Cards. You can choose values from £5, £10, £15, £20, £25, £50, £75, or £100. Please phone our orderline on 08456 000 968. Lines are open 9am - 8pm Monday to Friday and 9am - 5pm Saturday.

Do I get Clubcard points when I buy a Tesco Gift Card?

Unfortunately you cannot earn Clubcard points when you buy a Tesco Gift Card.

Does the recipient earn Clubcard points when they use their Tesco Gift Card?

If they are a Clubcard customer and use their Clubcard at time of purchase then points are awarded as normal when they use their Tesco Gift Card to buy goods at the till. They'll earn 2 Clubcard points for every £1 redeemed until 23 October 2011, when our double Clubcard points promotion ends. After this date they will earn 1 Clubcard point for every £1 spent.

What can I buy with a Tesco Gift Card?

It can be spent in our stores nationwide or online at tesco.com, direct**, entertainment and wine by the case. Sorry, you cannot use your Tesco Gift Card to buy groceries, books or clothing online yet, but we are working on it.

Can I buy petrol with my Tesco Gift Card?

Yes you can use your Tesco Gift Card to buy petrol or any other item on sale in the shop or kiosk. At present you can't pay at a pump with a Tesco Gift Card.

Why do I have to be over 18 to use a Tesco Gift Card online?

To use a Tesco Gift Card online you need to be registered with Tesco.com and you must be over 18 to register with Tesco.com.

Why do I have to have a credit or debit card number if I purchase an item exceeding the value of a Tesco Gift Card online?

Because if the value of the item being purchased online exceeds the value of the Tesco Gift Card you will need to pay the extra amount with a valid credit or debit card.

What if the person I give the Tesco Gift Card to is under 18 or does not have a credit or debit card?

They can still use the Tesco Gift Card in store.

Can I get my money back if my Tesco Gift Card is lost or stolen?

Treat the card like you would any form of cash because you lose the money stored on it if it is lost or stolen.

Does the design of the Tesco Gift Card affect where it can be used?

No, you can use any design of Tesco Gift Card to buy all products in any of the locations described under our Terms & Conditions

Can I use my Tesco Gift Card at a self-scan checkout?

Yes, you can select Tesco Gift Card as a payment option. But if you want to buy a gift card please ask a cashier to load it for you.

Where can I buy Branded Gift Cards?

Branded Gift cards can be purchased in store. Please see our Store locator for details of your nearest store. At present gift cards cannot be purchased online.

What value do Branded Gift Cards come in?

They come in set values from £3.95 to £50.

Do I get Clubcard points when I buy a Branded Gift Card?

If you're a Clubcard customer you'll earn Clubcard points when you buy a Branded Gift Card. You get 1 point for every £4 spent. But don't forget to use your Clubcard at the time of purchase.
