Tesco, with the rest of the food industry, are working closely with the Government Food Standards Agency to tackle another industry- wide food contamination issue. Food safety and our customers are our number 1 priority.
Quality assurance checks have highlighted that a small number of batches of some Tesco and branded products that we sell have been found to contain trace levels of a non permitted colouring agent called Para Red. Para Red is an illegal dye which entered the food chain at source of production of the spices that have been used in the products.
As a precautionary measure, we are recalling from sale the affected batches of the products. The products affected are listed below:
