The Paper Mario series returns for the first time on the Wii with this platforming game taking place over two different dimensions.
Princess Peach has been kidnapped, and once again Mario and Luigi return to the castle of Bowser…only to discover he is not the perpetrator. Instead, the villain responsible is Count Bleck, an evil sorcerer who wishes to unleash the Chaos Heart. With this power, Bleck can open up ‘The Void’, an interdimensional rift that threatens the existence of the universe, and so it is up to Mario to save the day by collecting Pure Hearts scattered around the world.
Centred around a town called Flipside, Super Paper Mario sees Mario travelling to eight different worlds in order to collect the Pure Hearts. Along the way, Mario teams up with a number of allies who join him in his quest (much like a party system in a role-playing game). The unique aspect of Super Paper Mario is the ability for Mario to switch between 2D and 3D, a revolutionary addition that will delight fans of the series.
Excellently written and full of charming characters that will have any video game fan beaming, Super Paper Mario is a game that mixes genres to create an enjoyable, light-hearted experience.
