Normans is one of the country's leading specialist suppliers of Musical Instruments and accessories. As a family business, that has been established for over 50 years, our principle aim is to deliver the highest standards of quality and service to our customers. We offer a wide range of musical products including guitars, drums, orchestral and hi-tech products suitable for beginners right through to professional players making us the preferred choice of Musician’s throughout the country.

Our distribution facility, based in Burton-upon-Trent, carries 1,000’s of product lines to ensure our customers have a great choice of both instruments and accessories. Good stocks also ensure that we are able to supply you with specialist products in super fast time. Delivery rates and timescales

Click & Collect Free Order by 3pm (Monday-Friday) and collect in store next day
Express delivery £5.95 Order by 3pm (Monday-Friday) for delivery next day
Standard delivery(Small Items) Free Order by 3pm (Monday-Friday) for delivery within 2-5 days
Standard delivery(Large Items) Free Order by 3pm (Monday-Friday) for delivery within 7 days

We use a number of delivery partners depending on the size of your parcel. Smaller items are sent using the Royal Mail 48 standard service which aims to deliver your goods within 2-3 days (including Saturdays) via your postman. However, some small items of higher value are sent using their 48 hour tracked delivery service for added peace of mind. Larger parcels are shipped using our courier DPD on their next day 'Predict' service. This includes an email/text confirmation of your one hour delivery window and the ability to track DPD's delivery vehicle online in real time. If it’s more convenient there are also options to leave the parcel with a neighbour or change the delivery date ensuring your parcel is delivered on the first attempt. Very large/heavy parcels are delivered by Arrow XL, a specialist 2 man delivery company. They provide a 3-5 day service and will contact you directly within 24 hours of your order being collected to arrange a convenient date and time for delivery.

Our orders are shipped Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays) and the majority will leave our warehouse within 24 hours of receipt. Orders placed during the weekend will be despatched the following Monday. Please note that very large items shipped via Arrow XL are only collected on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Delivery locations and exceptions

We deliver throughout the UK but depending on the delivery partner used transit times are as follows. Royal Mail 48 Standard: Up to 5 Working Days. Royal Mail Tracked: 48 hour service. DPD: next working day delivery (Scottish Highlands and Ireland 2 working day delivery). Arrow XL: 3-5 days. (Scottish Highlands and Ireland 7-10 working days)

Requirements to sign for delivery

Royal Mail deliveries do not require a signature. If you are not available to receive the parcel, and the item will not fit through your letter box, a card will be posted through your door and the item returned to the local depot for collection at your convenience. Parcels delivered via DPD do require a signature but their 'Predict' service makes it very easy for you to rearrange delivery if required, ensuring that the majority of parcels are delivered on the first attempt. Due to the size of Arrow XL consignments it is imperitive that you are available at the prearranged time to prevent a failed delivery.

Missed delivery

If you are not available to receive a Royal Mail parcel that will not fit through your letter box, a card will be posted through your door and the item returned to the local depot for collection at your convenience. If you are unable to receive a DPD delivery they will leave a card with details of how to re-arrange your delivery. Due to the size of Arrow XL consignments it is imperitive that you are available at the prearranged time to prevent a failed delivery. Returns Policy

Changed your mind

That’s no problem. All of our Tesco Partners offer the same Tesco direct policy as a minimum, the full details of which can be found on our Returns Policy page.

Charges for returns?

You will be responsible for any costs incurred when returning an item to us that is not faulty/damaged but simply no longer required.

If required a collection can be arranged, costs vary depending on size of parcel: small items £7.95, medium items £14.99, very large items £19.99.

Returns guidelines

If you change your mind about an item, please return it with all original components and packaging. If you are unable to return the item in its original packaging, please ensure the item is securely packaged to avoid any damage.

Fragile items such as guitars need extra protection such as bubble wrap, newspaper or shredded cardboard which can often be recycled from other parcels you receive and ensures reduced movement of packaged items.

Normans reserve the right to deduct money from refunds where goods show signs of unreasonable use, which reduces their value.

Is your purchase faulty or damaged?

We do our best to make sure everything works perfectly, but if it doesn’t, please contact us. Within the first 28 days we will issue a replacement item to you. Outside of the first 28 days we will be able to advise on the options to repair, replace or refund your item.
