Good stocks also ensure that we are able to supply you with specialist products in super-fast time. We use a number of delivery partners depending on the size of your parcel. Smaller items are sent using the Royal Mail 48 standard service, which aims to deliver your goods within 2-3 days (including Saturdays) via your postman. However, some small items of higher value are sent using their 48 hour tracked delivery service for added peace of mind. Larger parcels are shipped using our courier DPD via their next day 'Predict' service. This includes an email/text confirmation of your one hour delivery window and the ability to track DPD's delivery vehicle online in real time. If it’s more convenient, there are also options to leave the parcel with a neighbour, or change the delivery date to ensure your parcel is delivered on the first attempt. Very large/heavy parcels are delivered by Arrow XL, a specialist two-man delivery company. They provide a 3-5 day service, and they will contact you directly within 24 hours of your order being collected to arrange a convenient date and time for delivery.
Our orders are shipped Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays) and the majority will leave our warehouse within 24 hours of receipt. Orders placed during the weekend will be despatched the following Monday. Please note that very large items shipped via Arrow XL are only collected on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Delivery locations and exceptions
We deliver throughout the UK. Depending on the delivery partner used, transit times are as follows: Royal Mail 48 Standard: up to 5 Working Days. Royal Mail Tracked: 48 hour service. DPD: next working day delivery (2 working days for the Scottish Highlands and Ireland). Arrow XL: 3-5 days (10 working days for the Scottish highlands and Ireland)
Requirements to sign for delivery
Royal Mail deliveries do not require a signature. If you are not available to receive the parcel, and the item will not fit through your letter box, a card will be posted through your door and the item returned to the local depot for collection at your convenience. Parcels delivered via DPD do require a signature, but their 'Predict' service makes it very easy for you to rearrange delivery if required, ensuring that the majority of parcels are delivered on the first attempt. Due to the size of Arrow XL consignments it is imperitive that you are available at the prearranged time to prevent a failed delivery.
If you are not available to receive a Royal Mail parcel that will not fit through your letter box, a card will be posted through your door and the item returned to the local depot for collection at your convenience. If you are unable to receive a DPD delivery (which is highly unusual given the exceptional tracking/customer notification technology), they will leave a card with details of how to re-arrange your delivery. Due to the size of Arrow XL consignments, it is imperative you are available at the prearranged time to prevent a failed delivery, which may result in a surcharge for re-delivery. Is your purchase not quite right?
That’s no problem. All of our Tesco Partners offer the same Tesco direct policy as a minimum, the full details of which can be found on our Returns Policy page.
If the item isn’t faulty or damaged, but simply no longer required, customers will be responsible for any costs incurred when returning an item to us.
A collection can be arranged if required. Costs vary depending on the size of parcel, with prices starting from £7.95.
If you change your mind about an item, please return it with all original components and packaging. If you are unable to return the item in its original packaging, please ensure the item is securely packaged to avoid any damage.
Fragile items, like guitars for example, need extra protection such as bubble wrap, newspaper or shredded cardboard. This can often be recycled from other parcels you receive, and ensures reduced movement of packaged items.
Normans reserve the right to deduct money from refunds where goods show signs of unreasonable use, which reduces their value.
Is your purchase faulty or damaged?
We do our best to make sure everything works perfectly, but if it doesn’t, please contact us. Within the first 28 days we will issue a replacement item to you. Outside of the first 28 days we will be able to advise on the options to repair, replace or refund your item.
