This double globe planetarium from National Geographic is an exciting toy for learning about the solar system and the constellations found within the Milky Way Galaxy. You can take this double globe set to your room, set it up, and learn about the stars and planets. The National Geographic double globe planetarium comes with 2 globes that you mount on a projector base. The first globe projects the Sun and the planets onto the ceiling whilst you listen to the commentary explain interesting facts about the planets. The second globe projects the stars and their constellations on your ceiling. You can use the light pointer to locate and highlight stars on your ceiling. Switches allow you select which projection you wish to view at any one time. This double globe planetarium comes with a CD-ROM that allows you to trace stars, planets and constellations and how to find them in the night sky at any time of year. The set includes a colourful manual that includes the legends behind the Zodiac star signs and astrology. Requires 6x AA batteries (order 2x 100-4179). Age range 7 years+.
