About us

HARTS have been established for over 96 years and now has extensive premises built on the original site where my Grandfather, the late Walter Hart, was Sturminster Newton's local Blacksmith. This lovely old Market Town (once lived in by Thomas Hardy) is situated in the heart of the Blackmore Vale.

We are one of the UK's largest in store and on line retailers of Cookware, Kitchenware and Kitchen Electrics, stocking a comprehensive range at competitive prices, offering, with great confidence, cookware of unbeatable quality and value.

Please be aware that charges and timings will vary for delivery to Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Isles of Scilly, Orkney, Shetland and other Scottish islands with deliveries taking up to 8 days for outlying areas. The actual delivery cost and timings will be displayed during checkout.

Delivery by one of the following Tesco Click & Collect, City Link, DPD or Royal Mail.

Orders are shipped Monday to Saturday.

You will be notifed by us if a delivery is delayed before dispatch.

Requirements to sign for delivery

Deliveries (except Royal Mail) must be signed for.

Missed delivery

If a delivery is missed, the carrier will leave a calling card with instruction on how to re-book a delivery date.

Returns Policy

Changed your mind?

That’s no problem. All of our Tesco Partners offer the same Tesco direct policy as a minimum, the full details of which can be found on our Returns Policy page.

Customers who are not delighted with their purchases for any reason whatsoever may return their products within 28 days and request a refund. All goods (unless faulty) must be returned in a resaleable condition, unused and in original packaging. On receipt and inspection of goods a refund for the value of goods purchased will be refunded to the origianl payment method by Tesco.

Charges for Return

The costs of returning unwanted purchases to us shall be borne by you. For faulty / damaged goods please contact Harts Of Stur who will advise how to return goods free of charge.

Returns guidelines

Please let us have any original packaging, tabs, labels and accessories, and please package it all securely. If you’re returning an item because you’ve changed your mind, there may be a deduction from your refund if it has been damaged, opened more than necessary to check it’s working, or used more than reasonably expected.

Please return unwanted purchases to the address below including a note of your order number and the reasons for return. Alternatively the parcel can be returned through the Collect+ network, at a charge of £3.50. Please phone and we can email a returns label. The parcel must be under 10kg, valued at under £150, and can be dropped off at any one of over 4500 collection points across the UK, at a time to suit you. For larger or more valuable items, a collection via our courier at a charge of £10.00 can be arranged. This service operates within working hours on week days from any UK mainland address. Please call or email us if you wish to use the Collect+ returns service or book a collection.

Is your purchase faulty or damaged?

We do our best to make sure everything works perfectly, but if it doesn’t, please contact us. Within the first 28 days we will issue a replacement item to you. Outside of the first 28 days we will be able to advise on the options to repair, replace or refund your item.

For damaged or faulty products please call us and we will arrange for a repalcement or exchange.
