The Garmin handheld GPS system combines outdoor navigation and touch screen simplicity in the Dakota 20. This palm-sized navigator has a host of features in one power packed unit. Touch screen technology is included in the design along with a robust structure built to endure the elements and a dynamic re-routing system in case you take the wrong turn or a detour. An 850mb memory is sufficient however Garmin have integrated a microSD™ card slot so you can store more. The barometric altimeter tracks changes in pressure to pinpoint your altitude. You can even use it to plot barometric pressure over time and monitor changing weather conditions. 3-axis electronic compass shows your heading even when you're standing still or not holding the device level. Dakota 20 locates your position quickly with high-sensitivity GPS. HotFix® satellite prediction performs precisely and maintains yours GPS location even in heavy cover and deep canyons. Get into paperless geocaching with Dakota 20 by quickly downloading up to 2,000 caches, with information such as location, terrain, difficulty, hints and description.
