Clearwater Hampers, founded 30 years ago, is one of the largest privately owned hamper gift companies in the UK. Our website, Hamper.com, was launched in 1996 and we are a leading and experienced on-line food and wine gift hamper supplier. Based near to Abingdon in Oxfordshire, we operate from a purpose built, modern, combined office and warehouse of approx. 2,000 sq. m perfectly suited to our operations, to high tech systems, to the volumes of sales we now handle with plenty of and space for growth, and well suited to our ethos of care and attention to detail and service.
Clearwater has one of the largest ranges of food and wine gifts for delivery anywhere in the UK. Originally founded to supply Christmas hampers, we now sell gifts for all seasons and occasions and provide a “create your own” gift hamper feature which has been copied by many but never bettered. This feature enables a shopper to build their own gift and is also an ideal way for corporate customers to designs their hamper before discussing how we build this into a perfect corporate gift.

Alcohol is only available for sale to persons aged 18 or over. By placing an order for a hamper containing alcohol the purchaser shall be deemed to have confirmed that they are at least 18 years old.
All deliveries are made by appointed leading UK carriers. Delivery is normally made Monday to Friday, excluding bank and national holidays.
Contact us as below if you wish to request a future delivery date (e.g. nearer to Christmas or a special event date). Hampers are sent out on an overnight service. Time of delivery cannot be specified. Our carriers are instructed to leave a hamper in a safe place or with a neighbour and to leave a card if there is no-one to receive the parcel. We aim to despatch goods to arrive as close as possible to the selected date delivery time, but delivery on a requested date cannot be guaranteed – especially during the very busy time immediately before Christmas.
Delivery prices are shown on the site for all hampers. These prices are based on the size of the hamper but otherwise apply to all destinations in the UK: Clearwater makes no extra charges for delivery to the Islands and Highlands or to Northern Ireland.
If nobody is at home when the driver attempts delivery, the driver is instructed to leave the parcel with a neighbour or in a safe place. If signed delivery cannot be made the driver is instructed to leave a card at the address.
· As deliveries are made mainly within working hours, please consider whether the recipient will be available for the delivery, and consider the possibility of delivery to a work address.
· It is helpful if you can give a contact telephone number of the recipient to help the driver, but the driver cannot call to arrange a delivery.
For hospitals, universities, colleges, military bases, work addresses etc., be aware that the driver can only deliver to the address on the label – not directly to the recipient. Clearwater cannot be held responsible for delays incurred from the parcel being delivered to the address and being received by the recipient. It is always best for the customer to check that hospitals will allow deliveries of food items to a relevant ward, and ensure the ward details are entered when completing the address details. For deliveries to blocks of flats, student halls etc. it is important that the driver is able to gain access for a card to be left or to attempt delivery. Unfortunately we cannot send to PO Boxes or BFPO addresses.

Returns, Redelivery or Redirection
The carrier will hold the parcel for a limited time after an attempted delivery when a card has been left. If the recipient does not reply to the card the parcel will be sent back to us. If you request us to re-send or redirect the parcel there may be additional charges. Alternatively we may offer a partial refund if the gift is no longer required.
In the event of non-delivery because of an incorrect address, or if the recipient refuses to accept the parcel, Clearwater reserves the right to make a charge of a minimum of 50% of the original order for re-directing or re-sending the order. In the event that you cancel the order after despatch Clearwater reserves the right to refund up to 50% of the original order value.
In the unlikely event that the customer wishes to arrange a return we request that the customer contact us on the customer service details below to agree any necessary arrangements, including repackaging and any possible charges.
