David Bowie is back with The Next Day, a surprise release featuring his first new music in 10 years. The Duke’s 24th studio album has fans and critics abuzz with excitement, as single Where Are We Now? sent shockwaves through the music industry when it was dropped unannounced on his 66th birthday. The Ziggy Stardust singer takes us back to his formative years in Berlin with a vulnerable and modern ballad reflecting on the ch-ch-ch-changes in his life. Bowie’s long-time producer Tony Visconti, who helped to record the album in total secrecy, says it is the only ballad on the new rock CD : “If people are looking for classic Bowie they'll find it on this album, if they're looking for innovative Bowie, new directions, they're going to find that on this album too."
