All deliveries are made by appointed leading UK carriers. Delivery is normally made Monday to Friday, excluding bank and national holidays.
Contact us as below if you wish to request a future delivery date (e.g. nearer to Christmas or a special event date). Hampers are sent out on an overnight service. Time of delivery cannot be specified. Our carriers are instructed to leave a hamper in a safe place or with a neighbour and to leave a card if there is no-one to receive the parcel. We aim to despatch goods to arrive as close as possible to the selected date delivery time, but delivery on a requested date cannot be guaranteed – especially during the very busy time immediately before Christmas.
Delivery prices are shown on the site for all hampers. These prices are based on the size of the hamper but otherwise apply to all destinations in the UK: Clearwater makes no extra charges for delivery to the Islands and Highlands or to Northern Ireland.
If nobody is at home when the driver attempts delivery, the driver is instructed to leave the parcel with a neighbour or in a safe place. If signed delivery cannot be made the driver is instructed to leave a card at the address.
- As deliveries are made mainly within working hours, please consider whether the recipient will be available for the delivery, and consider the possibility of delivery to a work address.
- It is helpful if you can give a contact telephone number of the recipient to help the driver, but the driver cannot call to arrange a delivery.
For hospitals, universities, colleges, military bases, work addresses etc., be aware that the driver can only deliver to the address on the label – not directly to the recipient. Clearwater cannot be held responsible for delays incurred from the parcel being delivered to the address and being received by the recipient. It is always best for the customer to check that hospitals will allow deliveries of food items to a relevant ward, and ensure the ward details are entered when completing the address details. For deliveries to blocks of flats, student halls etc. it is important that the driver is able to gain access for a card to be left or to attempt delivery. Unfortunately we cannot send to PO Boxes or BFPO addresses.
