What do the different types of protein do?

Whey protein is a fast-absorbing source of protein made up of BCAAs (Brand Chain Amino Acids) to support lean muscle repair and growth.

  • Whey protein isolate and hydrolysed whey protein are purer and more concentrated forms of whey protein containing very little (if any) fat and lactose. Digestion is therefore much simpler and faster. They are the faster digested, so our bodies will absorb more of the product and start the rebuilding of our muscles after an intense training quicker.
  • Soy protein is a low fat, low cholesterol and vegetarian protein source.
  • Egg protein is a high quality lactose-free protein source.
  • Casein is a slow digesting protein source and is ideal to take before bed.

Is sports nutrition safe and legal?

Yes. Sports nutrition is safe and is legal if you live in the UK. Products sold in the UK are subject to stringent regulations to make sure they only contain safe ingredients. However, you may want to choose a brand that tests all their products for purity to guarantee best results.

I am under 16 years of age - can I use sports nutrition?

Although sports nutrition products are very safe, they have not been tested on children and we therefore do not recommend that anyone under the age of 16 use sports nutrition. We do not sell products to anyone below this age.

When should I take protein shakes and bars?

Is it important to eat before and after a workout?
