If you need outdoor security lighting that welcomes your guests and deters intruders, but which isn’t costly to run, then the Am-tech Solar security/welcome light is ideal. Once this security lantern has been fitted to your wall, you will be able to secure your property without being dependent on mains power. The Am-tech is a solar light that does not have to have direct sunlight in order to work. It uses a highly efficient solar panel to store energy for night-time use. The solar security/welcome light uses a passive infrared (PIR) sensor built into the Am-tech that switches the light on immediately it detects any movement in an area of 25 square metres. It can cover an angle of 100º, and detects up to 8m away. The light sensor ensures that this light is only switched on in the dark. It will switch itself off after a minute. The lantern uses one super bright LED bulb that has the same output as a traditional 40W bulb. It runs for 8 hours constant or two weeks on motion sensor (120 activations) from one full charge to the next.
