  • Best ever quick and tasty recipes
    By OliveOilRules03 December 2013aged 45 to 54Female

I was pleased to see the review by BakeWellTart as I am also a great fan of this magazine. Yes, the magazine is aimed at readers in Ireland but the recipes are what makes it such a great source of inspiration and pleasure to read. As the title of the magazine suggests these are not complex and time-consuming recipes but quick and nutritious meals that anyone can make mid-week for the family. There is also plenty of good advice on dietary and health matters which I have also found extemely helpful. There are 11 issues per year and at under £1 per issue with Tesco Vouchers this is great value. My advice is, subscribe and enjoy!

  • 3rd year subscription
    By BakeWellTart26 November 2013aged 25 to 34Female

I love this magazine. This is my 3rd year of subscribing to it. Although the offers are based in Ireland, a recipe is the same regardless (I think there have only been two times where I haven't found the ingredient). This magazine is for people who don't have much time and want something they can make that is simple, quick yet still tasty.

  • waste of money
    By keencook09 August 2013aged 65 or overFemale

like others I thought this was a BBC magazine. I was very disappointed. It is obvious, when reading, that this is a magazine for people living in Ireland. A complete waste of my vouchers. I'm just sorry that it is a year's subscription as I just put it straight in to the re-cycling bin. A lot of the recipes use ready prepared foods and packet mixes; not for someone who loves cooking. Very disappointed in Tesco's that they didn't make it clear that this magazine isn't relevant to anyone not living in Ireland; all restaurant reviews, food fairs and shops are all based there.

  • A bit misleading
    By welshbikerchic03 August 2013aged 45 to 54Female

I totally agree with therealslimkaty in everything she said. I would also like to add that the first edition arrived for July/August so I am guessing it isn't a monthly subscription and I will only receive 6 copies in a calendar year. It's a bit weak as a food magazine and I wouldn't recommend it as there are other, much better, alternatives.

  • NOT to be mistaken for Easy Cook Magazine
    By therealslimkaty17 May 2013aged 45 to 54Female

I had previoiusly spent my vouchers on a one year subscription to the absolutely excellent BBC magazine, Easy Cook. I thought that was what I was ordering again when I took out another subscription. Easy mistake to make as it was the only cookery magazine by then with Easy in the title. However.... What I did not expect as Tesco don't mention it, is that this is an Irish magazine and nothing to do with Easy Cook magazine. Most of the nice products shown in the features are from Irish shops. The adverts are mostly for Irish products and the money off vouchers are for Ireland and in euros. The prices are in Euros for all the products in the features. There were some features where people talk about their favourite restaurant etc, so again of course all are in Ireland. There were also featured recipes using products that are Irish and not available in Scotland. The recipes ARE nice and not difficult, but I honestly am at a bit of a loss as to why Tesco are offering this to mainland UK as it is so very not British, to the point that you do feel a bit "foreign" reading it!
