  • DON'T GO - it's awful
    By Lonzell22 August 2014aged 55 to 64Male

I have eaten street food in India, Vietnam and Cambodia, as well as having meals in Michelin-starred restaurants. So when I say that this “restaurant” is the worst I have ever eaten in, I have some comparators to judge it by. For a start, the photographs on the website where for a much larger establishment, and did not appear to have any relation to the room we were in. This was approx 16 ft long by about 12 ft wide, with very dark greenish wallpaper, into which were crammed about six tables. On offer was a very limited “Festival” menu. The starters were pedestrian, and the dips were miniscule. The main course was tasteless in terms of its sauce. We didn’t go any further on the menu. Incidentally, there were no naans or tikka meats available because the tandoor had apparently broken down. Having seen the website, we were really looking forward to this meal, so the whole thing was an enormous disappointment.

Very small and informal with cheery hostess keen that you ask and enjoy the meal. Good value and very tasty. We will go back!

  • Great Food
    By Giles8808 August 2014aged 25 to 34Female

My partner and I visiting Dhaba Diner on 31st December 2013 just before the big Hogmanay party. The atmosphere was fabulous but more importantly the food was devine. We bought 4 curry dishes between us, one rice, one chips and one naan bread and the sizes were perfect. I recommend having two curry dishes per person to sample the great tastes on offer. We used £5.00 of our Tesco Clubcard vouchers which were boosted in to £20.00 to use towards the meal. Perfect evening which cost us £11.00 in total. The bring your own drink policy is an added touch.

  • Best Indian food ever tasted
    By Faulds20 June 2014aged 55 to 64Female

I am not normally a fan of Indian food but with some help from delightful owner we picked tapas dishes of fish , king prawn , butter chicken etc. There were four of us . We cleared our plates, even ordering more prawns and rice and we all agreed that this was the best Indian food ever. We took our own wine and booked to be sure of a table.

Really helpful and friendly service, explaining all menu options. Food really tasty and freshly prepared. The lady even offered to pop to the local shop to get us whatever drink we wanted. A great atmosphere - would highly recommend.
