  • Adventure Wonderland - Day out for 3 & 6 yr old
    By vicovens31 August 2014

We had a brilliant day out at Adventure Wonderland and would definitely recommend it. It suited our 3 and 6 year old girls. Perfect type of rides, lots of picnic benches for lunch, brilliant indoor playzone. best bit was there weren't any crowds. Its not on the scale of Paultons/Legoland etc but it is a fantastic place thats so family friendly and had a great vibe about the place. And with the clubcard exchange it was free (rather than £48 for a family of 4) I would think there is probably an age when kids would get bored - possibly 9 year olds may feel its a bit young. But I will definitely be going again even though its 1.5 hour drive from us.

  • Lacking in adventure and wonder...
    By yoharty27 August 2014aged 25 to 34Female

Bit annoyed to find out at the gate that clubcard tokens can't be used on family tickets...where is that highlighted exactly? The park itself was not worth the money (over £60 for 3 adults and 2 children) and seemed to all over the place with themeing. It was hard to keep a 9 year old and a 4 year old entertained for the whole day. Food and drink (as always in these places) was massively over priced and lacking in variety. I wouldn't bother going again or recommend to others.

  • Great Value and good fun!
    By artygirl126 August 2014aged 45 to 54Female

With the Tesco voucher's it makes this day out a bargain! I took two 8 year old girls for the day to Adventure Wonderland and they had a great time! We live close by so actually they both used to go a lot when they were younger but neither had been for a few years. I took a picnic as there are lots of nice spots to sit outside and eat - you might need to take a picnic blanket as the tables could get taken. The inside cafe is a bit dark and noisy. I agree with the other reviews that some of the rides look a little tired but children of that age don't seem to notice. There are also a few NEW rides such as the floating rings with water guns - this was great fun but we did need to queue for about 15 minutes and you need to take a change of dry clothes! Most of the rides you hardly needed to queue for at all and the girls stayed on them to have a subsequent go. This park isn't in the same league as some of the big known ones but it is much cheaper and the girls didn't need anything else and had a great day. Also. being a smaller park that they could navigate meant I could give them a little more freedom. I don't think I would want to travel a long way for a day out here but if you are in Bournemouth over the summer holidays and it isn't a beach day then it is well worth it. On this visit the toilets were clean and we didn't need to queue, however I have been before and this was not the case.

  • Good Day Out
    By Kevntash23 August 2014aged 25 to 34Male

First of all it was a great day we took a 9 month, 2 x 2 Years and a 8 Year old. The only small issue we had was some of the rides have unnecessary restrictions, the inflatable slide you have to be 3 although nowhere else has this restriction. The train has a 1.0m restriction even though smaller children can ride much bigger rides at drayton etc. Well worth going plenty of other rides available to keep everyone entertained.

  • Worth a visit for under 9,s
    By Paicefamilyof522 August 2014aged 35 to 44Female

Having read the other reviews we were sceptical about going but we had a fantastic day! Having used our tesco vouchers for places like legoland etc we wondered if we were wasting them here but the kids loved it. Don't expect the polish and standard of legoland but honestly little kids don't notice at all. Mine are Age 3,5,7. Hardly any queuing at all, the kids could get off a ride and get straight back on. It is def for under 9's, nothing fast or scary really and if over 1m they will be able to do it all. If your kids love fair ground rides it is a great place for you. We also loved cuddling the rabbits and guinea pigs and a pony ride (£2.50 extra each) Take a picnic, and go thinking 'this is free, we have used our tesco vouchers ' and you will enjoy your day. Would def go back using tesco vouchers but probably not if paying cash . Worth a visit !
