About this reward
Just over half an hour from the mainland, travelling on Wightlink's fast shuttle car ferries from Portsmouth-Fishbourne or Lymington-Yarmouth, the Isle of Wight boasts some of Britain's most varied countryside, packed into a diamond shaped island 23 miles wide and 13 miles deep.
Famous in Victorian times as the favourite home of Queen Victoria and notorious more recently for the startling dinosaur finds on its crumbling south coast, the Isle of Wight is crammed with both natural and man-made attractions including The Needles and Queen Victoria's Osborne House.
