- NOT to be mistaken for Easy Cook MagazineBy therealslimkaty17 May 2013aged 45 to 54Female
I had previoiusly spent my vouchers on a one year subscription to the absolutely excellent BBC magazine, Easy Cook. I thought that was what I was ordering again when I took out another subscription. Easy mistake to make as it was the only cookery magazine by then with Easy in the title. However.... What I did not expect as Tesco don't mention it, is that this is an Irish magazine and nothing to do with Easy Cook magazine. Most of the nice products shown in the features are from Irish shops. The adverts are mostly for Irish products and the money off vouchers are for Ireland and in euros. The prices are in Euros for all the products in the features. There were some features where people talk about their favourite restaurant etc, so again of course all are in Ireland. There were also featured recipes using products that are Irish and not available in Scotland. The recipes ARE nice and not difficult, but I honestly am at a bit of a loss as to why Tesco are offering this to mainland UK as it is so very not British, to the point that you do feel a bit "foreign" reading it!
