Beside Edinburgh Castle at the top of the historic Royal Mile, Edinburgh’s five-star Scotch Whisky Experience is one of Scotland’s most prestigious visitor attractions.
The Centre is built around the WHISKY TOUR, devoted to telling the story of Scotland’s most famous product: Scotch Whisky. Following a £3million investment, our new experience features a state-of-the-art ride driving visitors through our replica distillery led by our resident ‘distillery ghost’. One of our knowledgeable guides then leads visitors through an interactive sensory experience, unlocking the secrets of Scotland’s regions and their influence on the Whisky they produce. A highlight of the tour is a visit to the Diageo Claive Vidiz Scotch Whisky Collection – the World’s largest collection of Scotch Whisky, encompassing almost 3,500 individual bottles! Here, the guide takes visitors through a Whisky tasting of their own selection of malt Whisky. The tour ends in the McIntyre Gallery where guests can make use of the extensive Whisky and Cocktail bar, whilst enjoying stunning views across Edinburgh.
The Silver Whisky Tour
Ideal for families and first timers (runs all day, every day) Audio guide available (15 languages): English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Russian, Swedish, Japanese, Polish, Czech, Hindi, Mandarin Chinese, Gaelic.
This tour includes:
1. Whisky barrel ride through the production of Scotch Whisky
2. Introduction to the aromas of Scotch Whisky
3. A dram of Scotch malt Whisky (an Irn Bru soft drink for under 18s)
4. World’s largest collection of Scotch Whisky
5. Crystal Whisky tasting glass to take away (adults and concessions only)
6. Discount voucher for our Whisky Shop
Daily: First tour 10:20hrs, final tour 17:00hrs (17:30hrs Saturday and Sunday) (Approximately 50 minutes duration)

How it works

• A tokens is not a pre-booked ticket.
• Tokens cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, scheme or promotion.
• Your token(s) should arrive within 5 working days.
• Orders should be made at least 28 days before you intend to book with a supplier or visit a partner.
• Tokens are valid for 6 months from issue.
•You must exchange your Clubcard vouchers for tokens, Clubcard vouchers will not be accepted by the supplier.
•Tokens are not transferable and will be issued with the name shown on your Clubcard vouchers and may be printed with your postcode.
