Enjoy Forde Abbey's award winning 30 acre informal garden where there is always something of beauty and interest to see; from carpets of springtime bulbs, through vibrant summer borders to the wonderful colours of the arboretum in autumn.
Even in winter, when the architectural features of the garden such as the ionic temple, statuary and cascade of lakes come to the fore, the garden remains outstanding.
View all of these against the backdrop of the Centenary Fountain, the highest powered fountain in England, and the house itself. Delight in the magnificent 850 year old family home complete with the ornate Mortlake tapestries amongst other treasures. Delicious homemade lunches and cakes available with gift shop, plant centre, pottery exhibition and forge. Forde Abbey is situated 4 miles to the south east of Chard and is sign posted from the A30 and A358.

The Gardens are open every day throughout the year from 10am. Last admission is at 4.30pm and they close at 6.30pm.
The House is open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays from the 1 April 2012 until the 31 October 2012 from 12 noon with last entry at 4pm.

How it works

• Tokens may be used against standard admission, but cannot be used for special events and/or shows, group bookings, season tickets or annual memberships.
• A tokens is not a pre-booked ticket.
• Tokens cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, scheme or promotion.
• Your token(s) should arrive within 5 working days.
• Orders should be made at least 28 days before you intend to book with a supplier or visit a partner.
• Tokens are valid for 6 months from issue.
•You must exchange your Clubcard vouchers for tokens, Clubcard vouchers will not be accepted by the supplier.
•Tokens are not transferable and will be issued with the name shown on your Clubcard vouchers and may be printed with your postcode.
• All standard Tesco.com and Clubcard scheme terms and conditions apply, these can be found on the website.
• Unused, expired and redeemed tokens issued after 13th August 2012 cannot be refunded, exchanged or returned. This does not affect your statutory rights.
