Data Protection Statement
We would like to use your details from the application form, plus details on how you use your Clubcard and what you buy in our stores, to:
- Help manage Tesco Clubcard and improve the way we run it.
- Understand our customers' shopping habits to improve our service.
- Unless you indicate otherwise, contact you with offers and information about products and services of interest to you and your family.
We will share your details among Tesco companies at home and abroad (e.g. Tesco Personal Finance), and businesses that process Clubcard information on our behalf (e.g. printers who need certain details to print our mailings).
We may also use and share information relating to groups of customers, without identifying individuals, to learn more about customer behaviour and find ways of enhancing our service.
The Scheme
- The Tesco Clubcard card and key fobs are issued by and remain the property of Tesco Stores Limited which reserves the right, at any time without notice, to: (a)terminate the scheme; (b)decline to issue Clubcard cards and key fobs; and (c)on reasonable grounds, withdraw or cancel Clubcard cards, key fobs or points collected, or to alter or amend the conditions of operation of the Tesco Clubcard scheme. Reasonable grounds include (i) any abuse or attempted abuse of the scheme, or (ii) any use or attempted use of a Clubcard card, key fob or points in a manner which is contrary to these terms and conditions or (iii) any reasonable suspicion of dishonesty on the part of a member in connection with the scheme.
- All participants in the Tesco Clubcard scheme must be resident in the UK and aged 18 years or over.
- The Clubcard card is not transferable, and can only be used by the person whose signature is on the card. Clubcard key fobs may be used by any member of the main Clubcard holder's immediate family who is resident at the same address, as registered for the main Clubcard holder.
- Members may be removed from the scheme at any time at the discretion of Tesco.
- Your Clubcard card and Key Fobs can only be used at Tesco stores and other promotional partners who may from time to time be part of the scheme. Your Clubcard card cannot be used as a credit card or a guarantee card.
- The Tesco Clubcard scheme is only for personal and consumer use. Tesco Clubcard points and vouchers cannot be transferred, sold or in any way traded. They may only be pooled by members with the same postal address.
- Your Clubcard card and key fobs cannot be used for any transaction where the beneficiary is a business and/or the owners of a business.
- Clubcard key fobs remain the responsibility of the main Clubcard holder.
Points
- To collect points for a transaction in-store, your Clubcard card or key fobs must be presented at the checkout. To collect points on purchases made through any catalogue or online, you will be required to quote your Clubcard number.
- Points collected on Tesco Personal Finance products will be collected separately to points collected on all other Tesco products.
- Points collected on additional cards or key fobs linked to the main Clubcard holder's account will be credited to this account.
- Points will not be given for purchases made at the tobacco kiosk, or for the sale of Lottery tickets, or prescription medicines or infant milk formulae, or purchases of Gift Cards, or for purchases of some Tesco Personal Finance Products, or for purchases from Tesco Outlet eBay shop. Other products may also be excluded from the scheme at the discretion of Tesco.
- You must also spend at least £1 in a single transaction for the transaction to qualify for points. Then one point will be awarded for every £1 that is spent. This can be altered at the discretion of Tesco. Tesco shall be entitled to set a limit on the number of points which may be awarded to each Clubcard account in respect of special promotional items on which additional points are awarded. Tesco shall be entitled at any time to cancel points awarded if the relevant products to which such award relates are returned or cancelled for any reason and a refund of the purchase price is given or if the relevant products are exchanged for other products, unless such exchange is for products with an equivalent points value. Where the relevant products are exchanged for products of a lower points value Tesco shall be entitled to cancel the balance of points between those originally collected and those collected in respect of the replacement products.
- The current redemption value of points is one point equals one penny. Tesco reserves the right to vary the rate at any time.

Vouchers
- Rewards, in the form of Tesco Clubcard vouchers, will be mailed with a Statement to the customers who have accumulated a combined total of at least 150 points by the end of each collecting period.
- Collecting periods may vary.
- The level of reward given by Tesco and Tesco Personal Finance will be based on the number of points that a member has collected on Tesco products and/or Tesco Personal Finance products by the end of the last day of a collecting period. Points a member has collected on Tesco products and/or Tesco Personal Finance products that fall between the level of reward and the next level will be 'carried over' as the starting balance(s) for the next collecting period. The current levels are multiples of 50 points. Tesco reserves the right to vary the rate at any time.
- Members who do not reach the minimum number of points needed to qualify for a reward by the end of the collecting period will have their points total 'carried over' to the next collecting period.

General
- The promoter of Tesco Clubcard is Tesco Stores Limited, Tesco House, PO Box 18, Delamare Road, Cheshunt, Herts EN8 9SL.
Double Points
For each £1 you spend on products that qualify for Clubcard points either in-store or online, you will receive a second point which will show as a 'new extra point' on your receipt (except online purchase receipts). Offer valid for standard Clubcard points only, and does not apply to points awarded on any promotional points offer, coupons, vouchers, Tesco Bank, E-ON or Clubcard Plus. Excludes mobile phone airtime, mobile phone contracts, Tesco Broadband, Tesco Homephone, Tesco Internet Phone airtime, Talk Wi-fi airtime, Green points, Tesco Calais, fuel and petrol filling station purchases. Offer may be withdrawn at any time. Standard Clubcard terms and conditions apply, minimum spend to qualify for Clubcard points is £1.
Rewards
Partner Rewards
- Tesco Freetime Limited operates this Scheme under the current terms and conditions of the Tesco Stores Limited (Tesco) Clubcard Scheme, which can be found above.
- When ordering Clubcard rewards online please refer to the online Clubcard rewards terms and conditions that can be found below.
Clubcard Vouchers
- Valid Clubcard vouchers (which are those printed with your name in your quarterly Clubcard Statement mailing entitled 'Voucher' and which are in-date, are not sold, damaged, defaced, copied, altered or redeemed) can be exchanged for a reward, reward token or Airmiles at the rates shown in this brochure. Bookings and orders can only be made by the Clubcard member.
- Exchanges can only be made in Clubcard vouchers. Payment or part payment in cash is not permitted unless otherwise stated. Coupons and money off vouchers will not be accepted and cannot be returned. Tesco Clubcard Christmas Saver Bonus Vouchers cannot be redeemed for Clubcard rewards. Tickets and rewards tokens can only be sent to the address on your Clubcard account and will be printed with your name and may include your postcode.
- Airmiles can only be applied to your own Airmiles account.
- Tesco Freetime does not accept any responsibility for Clubcard vouchers that are not received. If posting, please make a note of the online code or barcode number, denomination and expiry date on each Clubcard voucher before sending it in. Any points change will be electronically re-credited to your Clubcard account.
Rewards Tokens
- Rewards tokens cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount, offer, scheme or promotion and cannot be exchanged in whole or part for cash.
- All rewards are subject to availability and the standard terms and conditions, booking conditions or conditions of carriage of the Supplier.
- Where relevant, no change will be given if the value of your tokens is greater than the cost of your reward, but any shortfall can be paid to the Supplier by cash or credit/debit card (excluding 'Buy in Full' rewards).
- Clubcard vouchers will not be accepted by the suppliers.
- Rewards tokens are valid for 6 months once issued unless otherwise stated.
- Rewards tokens are only valid on new bookings, you cannot add more tokens to your booking at a later date.
- All holiday deposits must be paid for in cash unless the entire holiday is being paid for in rewards tokens.
- Holidays are booked direct with the relevant tour operator and are not valid on discounted prices shown on the internet.
- Hotel bookings are booked direct with the relevant operator and are only available against the rate options shown.
- Holiday and hotel tokens cannot be used against internet bookings.
- Your reward should arrive within 5 working days. Orders should be made at least 28 days before you intend to book with a supplier or visit an attraction.
Supplier
- Tesco Freetime does not accept any responsibility for the loss of rewards tokens between customer and supplier.
- Unless otherwise stated, you cannot change or cancel your booking once booked or ordered and no refunds or re-credits of Clubcard vouchers will be given in these circumstances, however unused and in-date tokens can be returned to us for a points refund.
- Do not make any dependent arrangements until your booking is confirmed by the Supplier.
- Tesco and Tesco Freetime shall not be liable for any goods or services provided by the Supplier or any act or omission of the Supplier, save as required by law.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tesco and Tesco Freetime exclude any liability in relation to the rewards or Airmiles, except where caused by Tesco or Tesco Freetime's negligence. English law applies.
Airmiles
- If exchanging Clubcard vouchers for Airmiles, your order details (including your name and address and Clubcard number) will be passed to Airmiles who will apply these to your account within 28 days.
- For existing Airmiles account holders these will be credited to your existing account. Otherwise a new account will be opened for you.
- Airmiles will use your information in accordance with their privacy policy to administer your Airmiles account and to contact you with information and offers from Airmiles and its scheme partners, to help you collect and redeem your Miles. See www.airmiles.co.uk/privacy for full details.
- Minimum transaction value is £2.50 in Clubcard vouchers. Please choose carefully, once Clubcard vouchers have been converted into Airmiles the process cannot be reversed.
- Airmiles and the Flying Boat logo are trademarks of Air Miles International Trading BV.
- Airmiles are held and issued for use subject to Airmiles Customer and Booking Terms and Conditions. Airmiles is a trading name of The Mileage Company Ltd. Registered in England No: 2260073.
General
- Tesco Freetime may refuse (at all times acting reasonably) any Clubcard rewards order where there is evidence of abuse or attempted abuse of the Clubcard Scheme or where the customer has not acted as a Consumer. For the avoidance of doubt abuse in this clause includes, but is not limited to, having Clubcard accounts in fictitious names, having multiple Clubcard accounts or multiple addresses, multiple memberships of a Clubcard club, claiming points not earned from their own transactions, making multiple purchases of products attracting bonus points and returning those goods for a refund (but keeping the Clubcard points earned from the purchase) or breaching of any terms of the Clubcard scheme.
- All prices and Clubcard voucher exchange rates and products and services are correct at time of going to print but may be amended at any time. Taxes and other duties, when they are applied, may be subject to alteration without notice.
- Suppliers and services provided may be withdrawn or altered without prior notice. Only Clubcard points earned in the UK can be exchanged for Clubcard rewards and Airmiles and BA miles.
- You are strongly advised to purchase comprehensive travel insurance. Please note that most insurance policies do not cover you for the loss of the value of Clubcard vouchers if you have to cancel.
- Tesco Travel Insurance is able to offer a policy which may cover the loss of Clubcard vouchers under an insured event. For details, phone 0845 300 8800. Calls may be recorded.
- For foreign travel, please check passport, visa and health requirements before placing your order.
- These terms and conditions do not affect your Statutory Rights. Calls may be recorded for training purposes. The Tesco refund policy does not apply to Clubcard rewards purchases.

Clubcard Competitions
Buy, Scan, Win - Redbull Grand Prix competition
- This free Prize Draw is open to GB residents aged 18 or over except employees of the Promoter, Red Bull or Tesco, their families, agents or anyone professionally connected with the Promotion. - Prize: the Prize is one weekend trip for two people to Belgium from 27 August 2010 to 29 August 2010 including economy flights, transfers and 2 nights accommodation in at least a two-star (or equivalent) hotel in the town of Spa, Belgium plus 2 grandstand tickets (for 28 and 29 August 2010) and two Paddock Tours to the Belgian Grand Prix (on either 28 or 29 August, at Promoter's discretion).
- To enter purchase any Red Bull product in Tesco between 21 July 2010 to 17 August 2010 and swipe your Clubcard at the till at the time of purchase. Customers using tesco.com grocery and selecting the same items as available in store will also be eligible for entry provided that the products are delivered to their home within the dates and times set out in herein.
- The Prize Draw runs from 21 July 2010 to 23.59hrs on 17 August 2010.
- Responsibility is not accepted for entries lost, damaged or delayed as a result of any network, computer hardware or software failure of any kind. Proof of entry will not be accepted as proof of receipt.
- Winner and any accompanying person shall be responsible for any and all expenses incurred in connection with the Prize (including spending money and meals) and arranging and ensuring that they have adequate travel insurance for the Prize. Promoter accepts no responsibility or liability for any loss or damage suffered by Winner or any accompanying person in connection with utilisation of the Prize, except in circumstances where Winner suffers death or personal injury due to Promoter's negligence.
- 1 Winner of the Prize will be selected at random and the Winner will be announced on 18 August 2010.
- In the event of any dispute the decision of the Promoter is final. In the event of unforeseen circumstances the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize for an alternative of equal or greater value. No correspondence will be entered into.
- The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, amend, terminate or temporarily suspend the Prize Draw competition in the event of any unforeseen circumstances or reason outside its reasonable control, with no liability to Clubcard holders.
- The Prize is non-transferable, non refundable and can not be exchanged for any cash alternatives in whole or in part.

- By entering the Promotion, all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the rules and consent to the transfer of their personal data to the Promoter for the purposes of the administration of this Prize Draw and any other purposes to which the entrant has consented. All entry instructions form part of the rules.
- These terms and conditions and any issues or disputes which may arise out of or in connection with these terms and conditions (whether such disputes or issues are contractual or non-contractual in nature, such as claims in tort, for breach of statute or regulation or otherwise) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law. Entrants hereby irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts to settle any such dispute or issues.

Scan to Win - Wall's Ice Cream Competition
- The competition is open to all UK residents aged 18 or over, except for anyone directly connected with the planning or administration of the competition, employees or their immediate families of any of the named companies (excluding employees or their immediate families of Tesco), their associated companies, agents or anyone else professionally connected with this promotion. - Entry is by purchasing any Walls multipack ice-cream (this excludes the single impulse ice creams) or Carte D’Or and by scanning/swiping your Clubcard at the till at time of purchase of selected product. Customers using tesco.com grocery and selecting the same items as available in store will also be eligible for entry provided that the products are delivered to their home within the dates and times set out in condition three.
- The competition runs from 0200 on Monday 21st June 2010 until close of store trade (no later than 23.59) on Sunday 29th August 2010. Neither the Promoter nor Tesco plc is responsible for any valid purchases of Products which fail to be registered for any technical reason whatsoever. Only purchases of the Products using a Tesco Clubcard will entitle the holder to an entry in the prize draw.

- The entry instructions form part of the rules. By entering, you agree to accept and be bound by the rules, and deem acceptance of the terms and conditions therein.
- The draw will be held on first week of September and 10 winners will be drawn at the same time, one for each week the competition runs. The winner for week 1 will be drawn from all the shoppers who made purchases in the first week, (31st May to 6th June inclusive). The winner for week 2 will be drawn from all the shoppers who made purchases in the second week, (7th June to 13th June inclusive) etc.
- The Prize is of a year’s supply of Walls ice cream will be given to 10 winners. The winner will be sent out 26 coupons worth £5 each which can be redeemed against any Walls product in Tesco stores only. Two vouchers will be valid in each month throughout the next 12 months with 3 being valid in July and August, the peak ice cream months. There are 10 prizes to be won in total. The vouchers can only be redeemed in Tesco stores. No change will be given if less ice cream is bought than the value on the coupon and if lost no futher coupons will be supplied. Ice Cream should be enjoyed as part of a healthy balanced diet.
- Winners will be notified by the relevant promoter via telephone and/or post and/or email 21 days after the closing date. [Monday 20th September]. Winners’ names will be available 14 days after that date [5th October] by sending a SAE to Tesco Clubcard – Swipe to Win Walls’ Year Supply of Ice cream, FREEPOST, TESCO SCO 5043, Dundee DD2 9XU. Winners agree to their names and photographs being used for promotional purposes.

- The Promoter’s decisions will be final in all matters and no correspondence will be entered into.
- Neither the Promoters nor Tesco Stores Limited (including each of their group companies, Tesco plc, officers, employees, agents and advisors) shall have any liability to any entrant in connection with this promotion or the prize, save as required by law. The Winners assume all risks inherent to the prize and the promoter will not accept liability for damages, injury, health issues or death other than caused by negligence or breach of duty of care by the promoter.
