Draw the diagram as shown here, on a piece on A5 card, or download the template here and print it out.
With a pair of scissors (adults only!) cut along the solid lines and fold along the dotted lines. (Don’t forget, always supervise your tot when doing art activities, especially when using scissors.)
Open the card slightly and push the cut sections through into what will be the inside of the card.
Paint the square at the bottom in red and the shapes of the tree itself in green. Put star-shaped stickers (or paint) all over, not forgetting one for the top of the tree.
