Cooking time:

Method

  1. Cut the apples and pears in half, remove the cores, peel and cut into chunks. Put the fruit into a saucepan with a little water and simmer gently for 5-8 mins or until just soft. Put some aside into a bowl for your baby.
  2. Put the remaining pear and apple mixture in another bowl, add a squeeze of lemon juice to stop it discolouring and add sugar to taste. Leave to cool.
  3. Gently fold the yogurt into the custard and then fold this into the fruit purée to create a slightly swirled effect. Chill really well, then serve with sweet biscuits.

Ingredients

  • 8 ripe apples, such as Cox
  • 2 small ripe pears
  • Squeeze of lemon juice
  • 1tbsp light soft brown sugar (or more or less to taste)
  • 130ml thick natural yogurt
  • 150ml custard
  • Sweet biscuits, to serve (optional)
