Head south for the summer at Glastonbury Children's Festival
You know the summer is well and truly here when the festival line-ups are being announced. But if you thought as a parent your festival-going days were over, think again – you can even go to Glastonbury! The Children’s Festival is celebrating its 29th year and there’s a huge range of diversions to entertain babies and toddlers (and parents). There’s a large craft marquee where children can make hats, masks and costumes for the day’s parade. They can even take part in workshops on clay modelling, drumming and circus skills.
The Glastonbury Children’s Festival is taking place between the 6th and 8th August, so if you don’t fancy camping out with the family for the entire event, you can go along for the day. There’s plenty of food on sale at the various stalls (healthy options included), and toilet facilities for little ones are available. Prices for the event are pretty reasonable, too, especially compared to the “grown-up Glastonbury”, so this could make a great and memorable option for you as a family this summer. But remember, this is Glastonbury, so as well as packing the picnic rug, you might also want to bring your (big and little) wellies!
