BabySafe courses

No matter how hard you try to protect your little one, they will experience bumps along the way. But when it comes to accidents that could put them in real danger, having the right safety knowledge is all-important. That’s what BabySafe is all about.

Our BabySafe Road Show has now come to an end and has proved a huge success.

We know the issue of safety is important for anyone in contact with a child and we’re delighted that we’ve been able to help train nearly 2,000 parents, grandparents and carers nationwide.

BabySafe courses
Our BabySafe courses have been a big success!

Run in partnership with the Royal Lifesaving society (RLSS) we held 20 events across the country, teaching people of all ages vital lifesaving skills that could help save the life of their baby or child. We’ve covered a range of topics including basic resuscitation techniques, knowing about and spotting signs for meningitis and a look into the key aspects of car seat safety. And we also included practical sessions where people could try out their CPR skills on dummy babies.

And the feedback was fantastic, here’s just a few things some participants had to say:

“Very, useful & informative. An enjoyable evening.” Lynne Greenfield (Tyne & Wear)

“Brilliant…the manner of the evening was lovely and they put you at ease. I came away with a good knowledge of techniques which I learnt from the hands-on approach part of the seminar.” Claire Kirby (Northumberland)

“Really useful, especially the hands-on experience. Feel like I’m more likely to remember what to do, than if I’d just read about it.” Katie Danuar (North Humberside)

We’ll keep up updated on any further BabySafe courses running in the Autumn but in the meantime, if you would like more information on first aid courses you can contact The Royal Lifesaving Society on 01789 773994 or visit www.lifesavers.org.uk  to find out information on first-aid courses running near you.
