Codorniu 1551 Vintage Brut

Easy drinking cava, does the job nicely for price and quality

Cordorniu is not one of my favourite Cava's but the 1551 variety is a winner especially when on such a good offer. Dry without being acidic. I would recommend this Cava.

Great flavour, lengthy bubbles - good on it's own or with food. Just the thing for a "Pick-Me-Up" after such a boringly long Winter. Great value with discount on 2 cases. Will taste even better when the sun comes out!

One of the nicest Cavas I have tasted for a long time. Super fresh, juicy flavour that lasted throughout. Hints of apples and summer. Great to drink on its own or with a wide variety of food. Loved it!

I enjoy most forms of fizz from classic grown up Champagne that has all the characteristics that tell you where every penny has been spent, to your lighter more playful Proseccos that kick an evening off with friends. My wife introduced me to the Codorniu brand when we first met over ten years agao and it has always delivered across its range for me. I bought the 1551 Vintage Brut on the recent deal and was delighted with the purchase. We had a spur of the moment bottle to celebrate the arrival of our new son (he arrived early) a few weeks ago, we popped one open when friends come over for dinner to have with starters and I got stuck into one last night kicking back watching the box. This bottle fit perfectly into all three scenarios. A more affordable way to celebrate without losing the sense of occaision..... if you need an excuse which I clearly don't!!!!

A quality cava at a great price, great fresh clean taste.

A beautiful well rounded wine for drinking on that special occasion, or just to enjoy at any time, better than some champagnes I have bought.

This is the best cava I have ever tasted and I have tasted a few! The colour of the wine is lovely and golden. It has lively persistant bubbles in the glass and tastes classy. It has depth of flavour and is not too sweet or too dry. If you want a special cava I would recommend trying this one, as you will not be disappointed. It is worth the full price for such a quality wine, but on the current half price offer, it's a steal!
